This year, the exhibition prominently features esteemed photographers who have embraced innovation, merging tradition with the transformative power of technology.

Among its lineup are Alkan Avcıoğlu, recognised for his use of AI post-photography to comment on the contemporary human experience; Elman Mansimov, offering a glimpse into a pivotal moment in AI art’s history and the transformative potential of text-to-image AI; Joel Meyerowitz, presenting a decade-long visual narrative that unites six decades of his work into one immersive experience; and Laurie Simmons, who will challenge preconceptions with her AI-driven image generators.

Additional artists include Yatreda, who will showcase African culture’s richness and resilience through the art of hair; Roope Rainisto, renowned for reshaping cultural perspectives through AI-generated imagery; and Simon Raion, known for his thought-provoking scenes that defy conventional roles and perceptions.

Yatreda, Strong Hair, Mosaic: ጠንካራ ፀጉር ሞዛይክ (2023)

Yatreda pays tribute to the richness and resilience of African culture through the art of hair. This collection features 21 unique hairstyles, each carrying profound social and cultural messages, emphasising the importance of preserving and reviving these styles.
